Hi, I'm Cindy
I'm married to a wonderful guy and have four sweet and loving girls. I hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and love my work as a physical therapist.
Breast cancer entered my life when I was a few weeks pregnant with my last child. My story includes a double mastectomy, two types of chemotherapy, the birth of a beautiful baby girl, reconstructive surgery, radiation treatment, and ongoing hormonal therapy. I don't think of myself as a "survivor" I prefer I think of myself as one who, with so many others, have the wounds and battle scars of a warrior in the fight against breast cancer.
I created this website/blog in hopes of helping you on your journey. Whether you have been diagnosed, or someone you love has been diagnosed, I hope to offer tips that were most helpful to me and ideas I came up with that even impressed my doctors! Yes, doctors, with an “s”…by the time you get going, you will have your very own medical team on your side… and me!
I was so frustrated that I couldn’t talk to just one person/doctor to answer all of my questions. So this website is my effort to help simplify something so complicated and faceted. Everyone’s story and experience is different, but hopefully, some of the tips on this site can help.
Whatever your story is, whatever your situation is, whatever your outcome is…you can do this …largely because you have to. I hope I can support you in some small way along your very personal and individual journey.
Please Note: The links and products I mention on my site are ones I found and used while on my journey. I receive no compensation, promotional consideration or other sponsorship for having them on my website; with one exception as mentioned in the beauty section.
